WHAT IS MDCAT AND HOW TO MANAGE SYLLABUS AND STRESS DURING IT

MDCAT stands for Medical and Dental College Admission Test. It is an aptitude test for getting admission in medical and dental colleges. It is compulsory to qualify this test to get admission in medical colleges.

Hard work, time management, smart study, self-confidence, prayers of your parents and most importantly strong faith in Allah, are the components which leads to success.

As you must take test of all subjects in one day, so it seems difficult but honestly, syllabus itself is not difficult. You can cover it easily if you are persistent and have done your FSC with good marks.

To manage syllabus, you must do smart study. You must omit unnecessary things and focus on important points and especially on those which carry more marks. The major mistake you do is you put your great effort and time on hard questions which is not wrong, but doing so you don’t give proper time to easy questions which carry more marks. So, you must divide your time on your topics. And yes, give more time to the subjects that are difficult to you.

Next, try to shortlist your syllabus so that you can revise it on your last days. Try to revise your syllabus again and again. Don’t cram whole syllabus, try to solve problems logically. Don’t overthink on simple questions. MDCAT is not very difficult so attempt it in simple and easy ways.

When you are preparing for MDCAT negative thoughts and stress hit you badly. As this test is going to decide your future, it makes you overthink that if you don’t make it your life is going to end which is not true .

Negative stuff that people say, thousands of candidates, repeater students, hope of parents, and career stress increase your tension. You lose your self-confidence and panic in exam which has bad impacts.

Always remember that you are doing your best. If you are working hard then Don’t worry, at the end your hand work will bear fruit anyway. Stress can destroy you and your preparation, so don’t panic.

Don’t think that your life will end ,always remember that when one door closes other opens. Allah’s plans are always better than ours. So, make sure to overcome this stress unless it overcomes you.

Think about others but your priority must be yourself. Your physical and mental health is more important than anything else. Take proper sleep and eat healthy food. Think about positive things ,offer your prayers, and believe in Allah.  At the end everything will be alright.
