MDCAT stands for Medical and Dental College Admission Test. It is conducted by University of Health Sciences (UHS). MDCAT has been considered mandatory to get admission in MBBS and BDS in Pakistan. In 2023, MDCAT has been declared mandatory to get admission in all the undergraduate programs of Allied Health Sciences. These Programs include DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy), Pharm-D, Optometry & Orthoptics, Cardiac Perfusion, Audiology, Human Diet and Nutrition, Occupational therapy, Dental Technology, Dental Hygiene, Operation Theatre Technology, Emergency and Intensive Care Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Medical Imaging Technology and Biotechnology.
If you want to get admission in any of the given program, you must pass the MDCAT. Without passing MDCAT, you will not be able to get admission in Undergraduate Programs of Allied Health Sciences.
Merit will be calculated by Universities, based on FSc Marks and Entry Test Marks. So, it is better to prepare for MDCAT from now.
